Class A Evaporation Pan

The Class A Evaporation Pan is a standard Bureau of Meteorology Class A type for manual measurement of evaporation. It is normally installed on a wooden pallet set on the ground with the pan filled with water and exposed to represent an open body of water. The pan is filled within 60mm from the top of the pan.

The evaporation rate can be measured by manual readings or with an analog output
evaporation gauge
